Sphinx is a collection of programs that aim to provide high quality fulltext search. searchd answers search requests coming in on a socket. This manual page was written for the Debian distribution because the original program does not have a manual page. Instead, it has documentation in HTML format, see below.OPTIONS¶
These programs follow the usual GNU command line syntax, with long options starting with two dashes (`-'). A summary of options is included below. For a complete description, see the HTML documentation.- --config
- Specify an alternate configuration file to use.
- --cpustats
- Provide per-query CPU stats in searchd log.
- --iostats
- Provide per-query I/O stats in searchd log.
- -h --help
- Show summary of options.
- --pidfile
- Used with --status and --stop to find the correct searchd.
- --status
- Print status variables of a running searchd.
- --stop
- Send SIGTERM to a running searchd.
