Synopsis¶
condor_on [-help -version]
condor_on[-debug] [-pool centralmanagerhostname[:portnumber]] [-name
hostnamehostname-addr
"<a.b.c.d:port>""<a.b.c.d:port>"-constraint
expression-all] [-daemon daemonname]
Description¶
condor_onstarts up a set of the Condor daemons on a set of machines. This
command assumes that the condor_masteris already running on the machine. If
this is not the case, condor_onwill fail complaining that it cannot find the
address of the master. The command condor_onwith no arguments or with the
-daemon masteroption will tell the condor_masterto start up the Condor daemons
specified in the configuration variable DAEMON_LIST . If a daemon other than
the condor_masteris specified with the -daemonoption, condor_onstarts up only
that daemon.
This command cannot be used to start up the condor_masterdaemon.
For security purposes (authentication and authorization), this command requires
an administrator's level of access. See section 3.6.1on page for further
explanation.

To start up only a daemon within a pool of machines other than the local pool,
use the -pooloption. The argument is the name of the central manager for the
