NAME

colo-perm - check whether CoLo is resident in ROM
 

SYNOPSIS

colo-perm [ -q]
 

DESCRIPTION

colo-perm is a tool which looks in the ROM of a Cobalt machine for a magic string identifying CoLo. This way, it can be determined if the original Cobalt firmware is used or whether CoLo has been flashed to the ROM.
 

OPTIONS

-q
Do not print a message on the screen saying whether CoLo has been found to be resident in the ROM.
 

RETURN VALUE

colo-perm returns zero if CoLo has been found in the ROM or 1 if it has not been found. 255 is returned if an error occurred.
