REQUEST ARGUMENTS

The XCB connection to X11.
The maximum number of fonts to be returned.
The length (in bytes) of pattern.
A font pattern, for example "-misc-fixed-*".

The asterisk (*) is a wildcard for any number of characters. The question mark (?) is a wildcard for a single character. Use of uppercase or lowercase does not matter.

REPLY FIELDS

The type of this reply, in this case XCB_LIST_FONTS. This field is also present in the xcb_generic_reply_t and can be used to tell replies apart from each other.
The sequence number of the last request processed by the X11 server.
The length of the reply, in words (a word is 4 bytes).
The number of font names.

DESCRIPTION

Gets a list of available font names which match the given pattern.

RETURN VALUE

Returns an xcb_list_fonts_cookie_t. Errors have to be handled when calling the reply function xcb_list_fonts_reply.

If you want to handle errors in the event loop instead, use xcb_list_fonts_unchecked. See xcb-requests(3) for details.

ERRORS

This request does never generate any errors.
