FENCE_AGENT(8) System Manager's Manual FENCE_AGENT(8)

NAME

fence_crosslink - Fence agent for cross-link two-node clusters

DESCRIPTION

This agent helps two-node clusters to tackle the situation where one node lost power, cannot be fenced by telling pacemaker that if the node is not reachable over the crosslink cable, we can assume it is dead

fence_crosslink accepts options on the command line as well as from stdin. Fenced sends parameters through stdin when it execs the agent. fence_crosslink can be run by itself with command line options. This is useful for testing and for turning outlets on or off from scripts.

PARAMETERS

-o, --action=[action]
Fencing action (Default Value: reboot)
-a, --crosscableip=[IP]
Cross-cable IP This parameter is always required.
-n, --plug=[id]
Physical plug number on device, UUID or identification of machine This parameter is always required.
-T, --timeout=[seconds]
No ICMP reply in 5 seconds -> Node is considered dead (Default Value: 5)
-q, --quiet
Disable logging to stderr. Does not affect --verbose or --debug-file or logging to syslog.
-v, --verbose
Verbose mode. Multiple -v flags can be stacked on the command line (e.g., -vvv) to increase verbosity.

--power-wait=[seconds]
Wait X seconds after issuing ON/OFF (Default Value: 0)
--shell-timeout=[seconds]
Wait X seconds for cmd prompt after issuing command (Default Value: 3)
--retry-on=[attempts]
Count of attempts to retry power on (Default Value: 1)
