NAME¶
shift_lines - add or remove indentation to/from lines
SYNOPSIS¶
capitalize [
-t num]
DESCRIPTION¶
shift_lines is a filter that adds or removes indentation on the left side
of the lines sent through it. It reads text from stdin and writes the result
to stdout. When adding indentation, it will insert space characters; when
removing, it removes any characters, not just space.
Please note that
shift_lines is intended mainly to be run from XView's
text menu. It is used in the default
text_extras_menu.
OPTIONS¶
- -t num
- Specify number of characters to be added/removed on the left side of the
lines. Default is 1, negative numbers will remove the given amount of
indentation.
