po poprawnym zalogowaniu się, ale przed uruchomieniem powłoki zgłoszeniowej.

Skrót "motd" oznacza "message of the day" (wiadomość/komunikat dnia). Plik ten
był tradycyjnie używany do tego właśnie celu (wymaga znacznie mniej miejsca na
dysku niż poczta do wszystkich użytkowników).
