I contenuti di \fB/etc/motd\fP vengono visualizzati da

dopo che un utente si è collegato con successo e prima di eseguire
la shell login.

Il nome "motd" sta per "message of the day", e questo file è
stato tradizionalmente usato proprio per questo motivo (perché
richiede molto meno spazio su disco che spedire posta a tutti gli utenti).
