miral-screencast - Wrapper script to facilitate Mir screencasts via mencoder

SYNOPSIS¶

miral-screencast [options]

DESCRIPTION¶

miral-screencast is a screencast capture script for use with Mir servers. It pipes the screencast into mencoder and writes it to disk as .mp4 file.

To run miral-screencast the video encoding tool mencoder needs to be installed.

OPTIONS¶

This application accepts the following options:

--width <width>

Set the capture width [default: 1920]

--height <height>

Set the capture height [default: 1080]

--output <filename.mp4>

Set the output filename [default: screencast.mp4]

--socket <mir-server-socket-file-path>

Set the mir socket [default: /tmp/<UID_NUMBER>-runtime-dir/miral_socket]
