指定在對話方塊彈出的時候應當顯示在 \fIdirectory\fR中的目錄。如果未指定這個引數，則顯示在當前工作目錄中的目錄。如果這個引數指定了一個相對路徑，返回值將把這個相對路徑轉換成一個絕對路徑。這個選項在 Macintosh 上不是總可以工作的。但這不是一個缺陷，而是在 Mac 上的 \fIGeneral Controls\fR 控制面板允許終端使用者屏棄應用的預設目錄。

使 \fIwindow\fR 成為這個對話方塊的邏輯父視窗。這個對話方塊顯示在它的父視窗的頂上。
