\fBtailf\fP [\fIoptions\fP] \fIfichier\fP
.SH DESCRIPTION
\fBtailf\fP affiche les 10\ dernières lignes du \fIfichier\fP donné et attend que
ce \fIfichier\fP grandisse. Similaire à \fBtail \-f\fP, mais sans accéder au
fichier lorsqu'il ne grandit pas. Cela a pour effet de ne pas mettre à jour
la date d'accès au fichier en question, et évite donc le vidage du système
de fichiers en absence d’activité de journalisation.

\fBtailf\fP est particulièrement utile pour surveiller des fichiers journaux
sur un portable qui n'a que peu d'activité de journalisation et dont
l'utilisateur désire préserver sa batterie en réduisant l'activité de son
disque dur.
