Die Datei \fI/etc/locale.gen\fP listet die Locales auf, die von dem Befehl
\fBlocale\-gen\fP erstellt werden sollen.

Jede Zeile hat die Form:

<Locale> <Zeichensatz>

Hierbei ist <Locale> einer der in \fI/usr/share/i18n/locales\fP
angegeben Locales und <Zeichensatz> einer der in
\fI/usr/share/i18n/charmaps\fP aufgeführten Zeichensätze.

Der Befehl \fBlocale\-gen\fP wird alle Locales erstellen und sie in
\fI/usr/lib/locale\fP ablegen.
