モード定義表は、モードの宣言、各モードで使用する対応表の組み
合わせとその決定規則を記述しておくファイルであり、 uum(1_JT)
起動時に解釈される。このモード定義表は、オートマトン (3_JT)
の変換表の「目次」に相当するものである。

uum は、モード定義表を以下の順番でサーチする。

  1. uum のオプション -r による指定。
  2. uum 初期化ファイル uumrc(4_JT) の setrkfile エントリによる指定。
  3. ファイル名 /usr/local/lib/wnn/ja_JP/rk/mode
あるいは ファイル名 /usr/local/lib/wnn/ja_JP/rk.vi/mode
