\&\fBdh_gencontrol\fR は \fIDEBIAN\fR ディレクトリ以下に control ファイルを生成し、適切な権限を持つようにインストールする役目を持つ debhelper プログラムです。

このプログラムは単に \fBdpkg\-gencontrol\fR\|(1) のラッパーです。処理を行うべきそれぞれのパッケージ (関連する dbgsym パッケージも含む) に対し \fBdpkg\-gencontrol\fR\|(1) を都度呼び出し、同時にいくつかの便利なフラグも渡します。

\&\fBNote\fR that if you use \fBdh_gencontrol\fR, you must also use \fBdh_builddeb\fR\|(1) to build the packages.  Otherwise, your build may fail to build as \fBdh_gencontrol\fR (via \fBdpkg\-gencontrol\fR\|(1)) declares which packages are built.  As debhelper automatically generates dbgsym packages, it some times adds additional packages, which will be built by \fBdh_builddeb\fR\|(1).
