.B yptest [\fB-q\fR] [\fB-d \fIdomain\fR] [\fB-h \fIhost\fR] [\fB-m \fImap\fR] [\fB-u \fIuser\fR]

.SH DESCRIPTION
.BR yptest
calls various NIS functions to check if the NIS configuration is
correct and works as expected.

Be quiet, don't print messages

.BI \-d " domainname"
Specify a domain other than the default domain as returned by
.BR domainname (8).
This option is not supported by all tests.

.BI \-h " hostname"
Query ypserv on

instead of the currently used one.
This option is not supported by all tests.

.BI \-m " map"
Use the map
.I map
for the tests instead of
.I passwd.byname.
This option should be used if the default map does not exist.

Use the account

instead of
.I nobody.
This option should be used if the

account does not exist in the map used for testing
