這個過程建立並顯示一個訊息視窗，它帶有一個使用者訊息，一個圖示和一組按鈕。用一個唯一的符號名字標識訊息視窗中的每個按鈕(參見 \fB-type\fR 選項)。在彈出訊息視窗之後，\fBtk_messageBox\fR 等待使用者選擇按鈕中的一個。接著返回選擇的按鈕的符號名字。

支援下列選項-值對:
