By default, the command runs an implicit \fBlttng-stop\fR(1) command to ensure that the trace data of the recording session(s) is valid before it exits\&. Make the command exit immediately with the \fB--no-wait\fR option\&. In this case, however, the traces(s) might not be valid when the command exits, and there\(cqs no way to know when it/they become valid\&. .sp If, for a recording session\ \&\fIRS\fR to destroy with the \fBdestroy\fR command, the following statements are true: .sp .RS 4 .ie n \{\ \h'-04'\(bu\h'+03'\c .\} .el \{\ .sp -1 .IP \(bu 2.3 .\} You don\(cqt specify the \fB--no-wait\fR option\&. .RE .sp .RS 4 .ie n \{\ \h'-04'\(bu\h'+03'\c .\} .el \{\ .sp -1 .IP \(bu 2.3 .\} LTTng archived the current trace chunk (see \fBlttng-concepts\fR(7)) of\ \&\fIRS\fR at least once during its lifetime\&. .RE .sp Then all the subdirectories of the output directory of\ \&\fIRS\fR (local or remote) are considered trace chunk archives once the \fBdestroy\fR command exits\&.
