FreeOrion is inspired by the tradition of the Master of Orion games, but is not a clone or remake of that series or any other game. . The game is about the construction of a living, breathing universe in a grand campaign model. You can develop your own galactic empire and explore new star systems with your fleets as one of several unique human or alien species.
