.TH RESTARTD 8 "14 Sep 2006" "" "" .SH NAME restartd \- process checker and/or reloader .SH DESCRIPTION Restartd is a daemon for checking running and not running processes. It reads the /proc directory every n seconds and does a POSIX regexp on the process names. You can execute a script or a program if the process is or is not running. For executing, restard uses system(3). For logging, restartd using syslog with LOG_INFO and LOG_ERR facilities. .SH OPTIONS restartd follows the GNU command line syntax. .TP .B -h, --help Displays a little help. .TP .B -v, --version Show the version number and quit. .TP .B -d, --debug Add very limited debugging. .TP .B -i --interval The process check interval in seconds.
