這個過程建立並顯示一個消息窗口，它帶有一個用戶消息，一個圖標和一組按鈕。用一個唯一的符號名字標識消息窗口中的每個按鈕(參見 \fB-type\fR 選項)。在彈出消息窗口之後，\fBtk_messageBox\fR 等待用戶選擇按鈕中的一個。接着返回選擇的按鈕的符號名字。

支持下列選項-值對:
