This function will set the subject alternative name certificate
extension. It can set the following types: \fBGNUTLS_SAN_DNSNAME\fP as a text string,
\fBGNUTLS_SAN_RFC822NAME\fP as a text string, \fBGNUTLS_SAN_URI\fP as a text string,
\fBGNUTLS_SAN_IPADDRESS\fP as a binary IP address (4 or 16 bytes),
\fBGNUTLS_SAN_OTHERNAME_XMPP\fP as a UTF8 string (since 3.5.0).

Since version 3.5.7 the \fBGNUTLS_SAN_RFC822NAME\fP, \fBGNUTLS_SAN_DNSNAME\fP, and
\fBGNUTLS_SAN_OTHERNAME_XMPP\fP are converted to ACE format when necessary.
