.TH "TILDA" "1" "Feb 2020" "tilda 1.5.0" "User Commands" .SH "NAME" tilda \- a highly configurable terminal emulator .SH "DESCRIPTION" \fBTilda\fR is a terminal emulator which is highly configurable. The main distinguishing feature of tilda is that it uses a configurable shortcut to show and hide the tilda window. This allows users to quickly switch between tilda and other windows only through keyboard shortcuts. When tilda is hidden it will move outside of the screen until a shortcut is pressed again to show the tilda window. The behaviour of tilda can be configured using the preferences dialog that is available via the context menu. A subset of the options can also be configured from the command line as documented below. .PP Please note that currently command line options override the settings in the configuration file and are persisted into the configuration file. .PP Tilda is currently not officially supported on Wayland. Starting with Tilda 1.5.0 it will be able to start under Wayland but the pull hotkey will only work from other X11 windows but not when a native Wayland window has the focus. .SS "Usage:" .IP tilda [OPTION...] .SS "Help Options:" .TP \fB\-?\fR, \fB\-\-help\fR Show help options .SS "Application Options:" .TP \fB\-b\fR, \fB\-\-background\-color\fR Set the background color .TP \fB\-c\fR, \fB\-\-command\fR Run a command at startup .TP \fB\-h\fR, \fB\-\-hidden\fR Start Tilda hidden .TP \fB\-f\fR, \fB\-\-font\fR Set the font to the following string .TP \fB\-l\fR, \fB\-\-lines\fR Scrollback Lines .TP \fB\-s\fR, \fB\-\-scrollbar\fR Use Scrollbar .TP \fB\-v\fR, \fB\-\-version\fR Print the version, then exit .TP \fB\-w\fR, \fB\-\-working\-dir\fR Set Initial Working Directory .TP \fB\-x\fR, \fB\-\-x\-pos\fR X Position .TP \fB\-y\fR, \fB\-\-y\-pos\fR Y Position .TP \fB\-t\fR, \fB\-\-background-alpha\fR Opaqueness: 0\-100% .TP \fB\-C\fR, \fB\-\-config\fR Show Configuration Wizard .TP \fB\-\-display\fR=\fIDISPLAY\fR X display to use .SH "COPYRIGHT" Copyright \(co 2012,2020 Sebastian Geiger (lanoxx@gmx.net) .br Copyright \(co 2005,2008 Tristan Sloughter (sloutri@iit.edu) .br Copyright \(co 2005,2008 Ira W.
