コピー端末上で一度に全画面で閲覧するためのフィルタである。このコマンドは、
環境変数 LESSOPEN に '|gzip \-cdfq \-\- %s' を、環境変数 LESSMETACHARS に
\&'<space><tab><newline>;*?"()<>[|&^`#\e$%=~'
を設定して、\fIless\fP を実行するのと等価である。しかしながら、\fIzless\fP
コマンドを利用できるようにするのはそれだけの価値のあることだと、
多くの人が思うことだろう。
