.SH DESCRIPTION
\fBrunlevel\fP lit le fichier système \fIutmp\fP (typiquement \fI/var/run/utmp\fP)
pour trouver l'enregistrement du niveau d'exécution puis affiche le niveau
d'exécution précédent et le niveau d'exécution actuel du système sur la
sortie standard, séparés par une espace. S'il n'y a pas de niveau
d'exécution précédent, \fBN\fP est affiché à la place.

Si aucun fichier \fIutmp\fP n'existe ou si aucun enregistrement pour le niveau
d'exécution ne peut être trouvé, \fBrunlevel\fP affiche «\ unknown\ » et quitte
avec une erreur.

\fBrunlevel\fP peut être utilisé dans les scripts \fIrc\fP comme remplaçant de la
commande Système\ V \fBwho\ \-r\fP. Cependant, dans les versions plus récentes
d'\fBinit\fP(8), ces informations sont disponibles dans les variables
d'environnement \fBRUNLEVEL\fP et \fBPREVLEVEL\fP.
