El fichero \fI/etc/securetty\fP contiene los nombres los terminales (sin el
prefijo \fIdev/\fP) que se consideran seguros para introducir las credenciales
de usuario.

Se emplea en algunas versiones de \fBlogin\fP(1) para restringir los terminales
desde los que se puede entrar como root. Vea \fBlogin.defs\fP(5) si utliza
contraseñas encriptadas (shadow passwords).

En los sistemas con PAM, \fBpam_securetty\fP(8) también lo utiliza para limitar
los terminales desde los que se puede entrar sin contraseña.
