Sin argumentos, \fBkbd_mode\fP muestra el modo actual de teclado (RAW,
MEDIUMRAW o XLATE).  Con un argumento, establece el modo del teclado según
se indica:

\-s: modo de código de rastreo (RAW, CRUDO),
.LP
\-k: modo de código de tecla (MEDIUMRAW, MEDIO CRUDO),

\-a: modo ASCII (XLATE),
.LP
\-u: modo UTF\-8 (UNICODE).

Por supuesto el "\-a" es algo tradicional, y el código empleado puede ser
cualquier conjunto de caracteres de 8 bits. Con "\-u" se espera un conjunto
de caracteres de 16 bits. y estos caracteres se transmiten al núcleo como 1,
2 ó 3 bytes (siguiendo la codificación UTF\-8).  En estos dos últimos modos
se emplea el mapa de teclado definido por \fBloadkeys\fP(1).

kbd_mode operates on the console specified by the "\-C" option; if there is
none, the console associated with stdin is used.

Warning: changing the keyboard mode, other than between ASCII and Unicode,
will probably make your keyboard unusable. Set the "\-f" option to force such
changes.  This command is only meant for use (say via remote login)  when
some program left your keyboard in the wrong state.  Note that in some
obsolete versions of this program the "\-u" option was a synonym for "\-s" and
older versions of this program may not recognize the "\-f" option.
