It is intended to serve two purposes: .sp .RS 4 .ie n \{\ \h'-04'\(bu\h'+03'\c .\} .el \{\ .sp -1 .IP \(bu 2.3 .\} To allow students to interactively explore mathematical figures and concepts using the computer; .RE .sp .RS 4 .ie n \{\ \h'-04'\(bu\h'+03'\c .\} .el \{\ .sp -1 .IP \(bu 2.3 .\} To serve as a WYSIWYG tool for drawing mathematical figures and including them in other documents\&. .RE .PP With this program you can do geometry on a computer just like you would on a blackboard in a classroom\&. However the program allows you to move and change parts of a geometrical drawing so that you can see how other parts change as a result\&. .PP Kig supports loci and user\-defined macros\&. It also imports and exports both to and from foreign file formats including Cabri, Dr\&. Geo, KGeo, KSeg and XFig\&. .PP This application is part of the official KDE edutainment module\&. .SH "OPTIONS" .PP \fB\-c, \-\-convert\-to\-native\fR .RS 4 Do not show a GUI\&. Instead convert the specified file to native Kig format\&. The native Kig file will be written to standard output unless \fB\-\-outfile\fR is passed\&. .RE .PP \fB\-o, \-\-outfile \fR\fB\fIfilename\fR\fR .RS 4 Used with \fB\-\-convert\-to\-native\fR to specify where to save the newly created Kig file\&. Not specifying this option, or providing a filename of \- will output the file to standard output\&. .RE .SH "SEE ALSO" .PP More detailed user documentation is available from \m[blue]\fBhelp:/kig\fR\m[] (either enter this URL into Konqueror, or run \fB\fBkhelpcenter\fR\fR\fB \fR\fB\fIhelp:/kig\fR\fR)\&. .PP There is also further information available at the \m[blue]\fBKDE Edutainment website\fR\m[]\&\s-2\u[1]\d\s+2\&. .SH "AUTHORS" .PP Kig was written by Dominique Devriese , Maurizio Paolini , Franco Pasquarelli , Pino Toscano , David E\&.
