The Animated Portable Network Graphics (\s-1APNG\s0) file format is an
extension to the Portable Network Graphics (\s-1PNG\s0) specification. It
allows for animated \s-1PNG\s0 files that work similarly to animated \s-1GIF\s0
files, while retaining backward compatibility with non-animated \s-1PNG\s0
files and adding support for 8\-bit transparency and 24\-bit images.
